Bias: Extreme Left, Propaganda
Notes: Free Rein Report is an extreme left wing news and opinion blog that does not have an about page. Each article reviewed was written/published by Octavian Augustus (probably not his/her real name). Free Rein Report has a Facebook page that has this description: “Free Rein Report is a media organization that is dedicated to an America that embraces the progressive values of freedom, dignity, and justice for all.”
In review, all articles favor the left and are anti-right. There is significant use of loaded emotional language in both headlines and articles, such as: “Enraged Trump Just Threw Jared Kurshner Under The Bus, Ivanka About To Lose It.” A typical Free Rein Report article takes a tweet or a short snippet of a news story and editorializes it. Basically, this is an opinion blog, versus a news reporting blog. Overall, we rate Free Rein Report Questionable due to extreme left bias, lack of information regarding ownership of the website and promotion of propaganda. (D. Van Zandt 11/4/2017)
