Trust in AI Remains Low Among Americans, Edelman Report Finds

A new study from the Edelman Trust Barometer reveals that only 32% of Americans trust artificial intelligence (AI), compared to 72% of respondents in China. The global average trust level stands at 49%, with developed nations such as Germany, the UK, and Australia showing particularly low trust. Meanwhile, India and Nigeria exhibit the highest levels of confidence in AI, at 77% and 76%, respectively. The report notes that trust in major tech companies in the U.S. has dropped from 73% to 63% over the past decade. Experts suggest AI must demonstrate value and responsibility to gain public trust. Trump Media Reports $400.9 Million Loss in 2024

Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social, reported a $400.9 million loss last year, with revenue declining 12% to $3.6 million. The company cited a revenue-sharing agreement with an undisclosed ad partner as a contributing factor. Following his presidential election win in November, Donald Trump transferred all of his shares, valued at $4 billion, to a trust managed by Donald Trump Jr. Truth Social was created after Trump was banned from major social media platforms in 2021. That thing about 32% ai trust in Americans is very interesting. What does that mean? That they don’t want to use it or they don’t like it? How does this translate into real-world scenarios?
