Notes: Founded in 1999, The Source Newspaper, also known in French as La Source is an intercultural Vancouver-based French-English newspaper. According to their about page on social media, they describe their mission as “It encourages new ideas and ways of thinking through reporting on arts and diversity.” Its founding publisher is Mamadou Gangué.

The Source Newspaper, when it comes to Canadian news is left-biased. For example, they often utilize emotionally loaded language in their headlines and articles such as “Whose side are they on? Big money, big media and the coming B.C. election” and are always well sourced to credible media such as the Globe and Mail and through the use of direct quotes. When reporting US news they generally are anti-Trump and anti-conservative.  For example: “Only bold progressive politics can stop the spread of the Trump virus.” Overall, we rate The Source Newspaper (La Source) Left biased due to story selection that almost always favors the left and High for factual reporting based on proper sourcing to credible media outlets.
