LIE
Claim via Social Media: Bill Gates’ support for malaria research is responsible for the recent locally acquired malaria cases in the U.S.

FactCheck.org rating: False (The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation supports research into fighting malaria, including funding a company that releases genetically modified mosquitoes that are incapable of carrying the disease. But reports of locally acquired cases of malaria in the U.S. have sparked social media posts that baselessly suggest Gates was behind the recent outbreak.)

U.S.-Acquired Malaria Cases Spark False Claims of Links to Gates-Funded Research

TRUE Claim by Donald Trump (R): Florida has “the highest” homeowners insurance in the nation.

PolitiFact rating: True (The industry-funded Insurance Information Institute found that Floridians pay the highest average home insurance premium at $6,000 a year for 2023.)

Trump is correct that Florida has highest home insurance rate in the United States

FALSE Claim by Marjorie Taylor Greene (R): Claims Jack Smith only targets Republicans.

Newsweek rating: False (Marjorie Taylor Greene’s accusation that Jack Smith presided over “mistrials, overturned cases, and judicial rebukes,” is the exact wording from an article that lists Democrats Smith helped charge, contradicting Greene’s claim that Smith “only targets Republicans.”)

Fact Check: Taylor Greene Claims Jack Smith Targets Only Republicans

Claim by Viral image: The World Economic Forum “bans natural conception” because “all babies must be lab-grown by 2030.”

PolitiFact rating: Pants on Fire (What kind of delusional state must you be in to believe this?)

The World Economic Forum didn’t ban natural conception in favor of lab-grown babies

FALSE Claim by Bob Vander Plaats: Does Biden support abortion “on demand” until birth?

Newsweek rating: False (Biden has not made any statement about “on-demand” abortions, nor has he recently committed to an answer on supporting abortions during the later term of pregnancy. He has shown continued support for Roe v. Wade, which provided the freedom to ban abortions after the point of viability unless the health of the woman giving birth was at stake.)

Fact Check: Does Biden Support Abortion ‘On Demand’ Until Birth?

FALSE (International: France): Claim by thepeoplesvoice.tv: French Military Say They Are Prepared To Arrest Macron for Treason.

Lead Stories rating: False
