RIGHT BIAS
These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward conservative causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy. See all Right Bias sources.
- Overall, we rate WSB Radio Right Biased based on a conservative-leaning talk-radio lineup featuring Erick Erickson and Sean Hannity, balanced by generally neutral local and national news reporting. We rate it Mixed for factual reporting because, while the newsroom generally relies on credible sources such as the Associated Press, prominent talk-radio hosts aired by the station have documented histories of promoting false or misleading political claims and partisan propaganda.

Analysis / Bias
In review, WSB Radio covers local news, politics, crime, traffic, weather, and community issues throughout the greater Atlanta area. Straight-news reporting is generally written with minimally loaded language and relies on named reporters, government officials, public records, and established news agencies.
National political news is frequently republished from the Associated Press, and the newsroom generally separates straight reporting from opinion programming.
However, WSB’s talk-radio schedule leans conservative. Weekday programming includes conservative commentator Erick Erickson and the nationally syndicated Sean Hannity Show. The station also airs The Von Haessler Doctrine, hosted by libertarian commentator Eric Von Haessler. These programs frequently feature partisan commentary and political advocacy rather than straight news.
Factual reliability is reduced by misinformation and propaganda promoted through some of this programming. PolitiFact has documented numerous false and misleading claims by Sean Hannity, including false claims regarding voting by undocumented immigrants, gas-stove regulations, the January 6 National Guard response, and other political issues. In September 2025, PolitiFact rated false Hannity’s claim that no prominent conservative had supported removing Jimmy Kimmel from the air. Erick Erickson also has a mixed fact-check record, with PolitiFact rating several of his claims Mostly False or False.
In addition, Hannity’s programs have provided a platform for guests to make unsupported or misleading claims. For example, FactCheck.org found that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made several misleading and unsupported claims about the measles vaccine during a 2025 interview with Hannity.
In general, WSB Radio’s newsroom reports with minimal political bias, but its conservative talk programming creates an overall Right-Center editorial orientation and lowers the station’s factual rating.
