History
ThinkPol is an independent media organization covering Canadian politics that was established in 2015. According to its about page, “ThinkPol is an independent media organization owned and operated by ThinkPol Media Inc. ThinkPol was founded in 2015 during the run-up to the federal election that year by a group of eight individuals from many walks of life, including former journalists, entrepreneurs, labour leaders, environmentalists, and former public servants.”

ThinkPol is owned and operated by ThinkPol Media Inc. The organization is funded entirely by reader donations and advertising. Technical and administrative services for ThinkPol are provided voluntarily by the founders. Notably, ThinkPol does not accept funding from third parties.
Analysis / Bias
ThinkPol provides investigative journalism and news reporting on Canadian political issues. Articles and headlines typically are not sensational and usually favor a left-leaning perspective, such as this Gap between rich and poor widens at fastest pace on record – Statistics Canada.
Editorially, ThinkPol aligns more with a progressive perspective such as this Global warming could suffocate life on Earth as oxygen levels fall, research shows, and Canadian Government pressured to recognize human rights abuses in Mexico.
