The Journal is owned by Ballantine Communications, a family-owned media company based in Durango, Colorado. The company also owns several other newspapers, magazines, and websites in the region. The newspaper’s revenue comes from advertising and subscriptions.

Analysis / Bias

In reviewing The Journal, the newspaper primarily reports national news through credible sources such as the Associated Press. The reporting is factual, and the headlines are neutral.
