History
The Huckabee Post is a Substack newsletter launched in 2016 by Republican politician and media figure Mike Huckabee. According to its About page, the publication describes itself as a politics-and-culture newsletter that “watches the news so you don’t have to,” delivered Monday–Saturday and supported by a recurring team of writers and editors. After Huckabee’s appointment as U.S. ambassador to Israel, the newsletter continues under Blue Diamond Media and a team of contributors. The outlet also publishes a faith-oriented companion newsletter, “The Prayer Tree.”

Funded by / Ownership
The Huckabee Post is privately owned by Mike Huckabee and administered through Blue Diamond Media. Revenue is generated through paid subscriptions on Substack, priced at $5 per month or $36 annually, with discounted rates for veterans, teachers, and seniors. There is no advertising in the newsletter, and no disclosure of donors or external funding aside from subscriber revenue. Sponsored messaging occasionally appears within newsletters.
Analysis / Bias
The Huckabee Post publishes strongly opinionated political content that sharply criticizes Democrats, progressive policies, transgender rights, immigration enforcement critics, and media figures. Articles such as “It’s Good To Be the King!” and “Say, remember that terrorist group called ‘Antifa?’” exhibit highly loaded language, ad hominem attacks, and sweeping generalizations about political opponents. The newsletter routinely praises Donald Trump, frames Republican policies as morally correct, and depicts Democrats as corrupt, anti-American, violent, or mentally unstable.
Content consistently relies on low-credibility partisan outlets such as Townhall, RedState, PJ Media, Human Events, and Breitbart, which are frequently used to substantiate claims. For example, Democratic politicians are described as “rooting against America,” Antifa is compared to ISIS, and immigration stories are framed to imply malicious intent by Democrats. Cultural issues such as transgender athletics are presented with a mocking tone and ideological framing rather than reporting.
The newsletter frequently publishes misleading or unverified claims presented as news, including attacks on Democrats, government agencies, immigrants, and activists. Even informational segments are surrounded by highly partisan rhetoric and value judgments. The outlet’s history of promoting election-related misinformation further reinforces its propagandistic nature.
