Sources in the Conspiracy-Pseudoscience category may publish unverifiable information that is not always supported by evidence. These sources may be untrustworthy for credible/verifiable information, therefore fact checking and further investigation is recommended on a per article basis when obtaining information from these sources. See all Conspiracy-Pseudoscience sources.

Factual Reporting: MIXED

Notes: Media Fact Watch is a news and opinion website that apparently also checks the media for facts. Media Fact Watch proposes the conspiracy that the mainstream media is publishing fake news. They also publish numerous conspiracy and pseudoscience articles. For example, they present an article showing numerous quotes from mainstream media publications from the 1970s demonstrating that global cooling is imminent based on a few scientific studies. This is a tactic used by climate deniers to sow doubt about climate science. Typically, they fail to mention how scientific technology changed in the ’80s through satellites and powerful computer modeling. This 1970’s cooling tactic has been debunked. Throughout the website, there are numerous examples of human-influenced climate denialism and the promotion of anti-vaccination propaganda. Media Fact Watch also has an extreme right-wing political bias in reporting and they routinely source to highly questionable sources such as Natural News. (D. Van Zandt 5/4/2017)
