Analysis /Bias
The Jewish Insider provides original reporting with diverse perspectives. Most headlines are straightforward and minimally biased, like this one: A Red shift in New York City creates an opening for a moderate mayoral candidate. Like all the stories reviewed, this one is properly sourced from credible outlets such as the New York Times and New York Magazine.
While the Jewish Insider does not label opinion content, many articles are opinion based. The articles present a range of perspectives, including critiques of Israeli policies and actions, as well as coverage of U.S. political figures expressing various viewpoints on Israel-related matters. For example, an article titled “77 House Democrats accuse Israel of violating arms sales laws” reports on a letter from U.S. lawmakers alleging that Israel breached U.S. laws governing arms sales. This piece presents a critical perspective on Israel’s actions without editorial bias.
However, in reviewing dozens of stories, we found that more favor a pro-Israel perspective, such as this New report finds Massachusetts teachers’ union introducing anti-Israel material into schools’ curricula. In general, more stories favor a right-leaning perspective; however, all stories reviewed were fact-based and well-sourced.
