Analysis / Bias
INN promotes nonprofit journalism, aiming for accountability and public service. It focuses on transparency, civic engagement, and providing resources to a wide range of newsrooms, from national players like ProPublica to regional and local outlets. The network’s member newsrooms follow strict editorial independence guidelines and maintain transparency in funding. INN helps create sustainable, ethical journalism models, especially in communities underserved by traditional news outlets. Examples include projects like the Rural News Network and collaboration with NewsMatch to fundraise for nonprofit outlets.
The website does not publish political news but does publish articles related to its organization, such as this: Educator and bilingual author Graciela Mochkofsky joins INN Board of Directors. The website also provides information about each source in its network, including a description, location, and ownership. In general, INN demonstrates minimal bias and is fact-based.
