Analysis / Bias

In review, Freedom House annually produces its Freedom in the World report, which assesses each country’s degree of political freedoms and civil liberties. It is frequently cited by political scientists, journalists, and policymakers. For example, in 2019, they reported that “US Freedom is in Decline.” Freedom House also produces reports on Authoritarian Reach, Democracies in Decline, and Equality & Human Rights. In addition, freedom House occasionally utilizes emotional wording such as: The Crisis of Social Media.

Freedom House has faced criticism by authoritarian regimes and Libertarians in the USA who find they are too pro-USA Government.
