McCain to support GOP Tax bill, making it much more likely to pass

By Aaron O’Leary – Media Bias Fact Check

Senator John McCain has today announced that he will vote for the controversial GOP tax plan paving the way for a Senate vote as early as tonight.

McCain who has to put it lightly been a thorn in President Trump’s side famously refused to support the ObamaCare repeal bills, quashing the President’s attempt to make good on his promise.

McCain’s announcement makes it much more likely that the GOP tax bill will pass, which according to the Congressional Budget Office will provide tax breaks to the country’s wealthiest and increase the debt by 1.4 trillion over the next 10 years.

“After careful thought and consideration, I have decided to support the Senate tax reform bill. I believe this legislation, though far from perfect, would enhance American competitiveness, boost the economy, and provide long overdue tax relief for middle class families,” McCain said

The bill could be voted on as early as tonight.
