Notes: The Daily Progress is the sole daily newspaper in the vicinity of Charlottesville, Virginia. It has been published daily since September 14, 1892. It is owned by Berkshire Hathaway. Ryan M. Kelly’s photograph of the Aug. 12 car attack that resulted in the death of Heather Heyer won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for breaking news photography.

In review, The Daily Progress reports local news with journalists and national news through syndicated Associated Press content. All information is sourced properly and there is little use of loaded words. Editorially, there is a balance of opinion that reflects both the left and right.
