Funded by / Ownership

The website is owned by Iron Mill Interactive Media and they have a partnership with 1 World Online. The website appears to derive funding primarily from online advertising.

Analysis / Bias

In review, Politisite covers four main categories: Political News, which has not been updated June 18, 2018, White House, which has not been active since 2015, Political Polls, which last saw a post in 2016 and finally Election Results, which has not been active since 2014. All in all, it appears this once very popular and groundbreaking website is dead.

Looking at their most recent content from Political News; Politisite reports news with a right wing bias in story selection that usually favors the right. There is strong use of loaded language such this: Will The 44th Presidency’s, Carter’s Second Term, FBI Ever Be Trusted Again?. This particular opinion piece does not list sourcing at all. However, other news articles do use proper sourcing to credible media.

A factual search reveals they have not failed a fact check.

Overall, we rate Politisite Right Biased based on story selection that favors conservatives and High for factual reporting due to a clean fact check record and reasonable sourcing. (D. Van Zandt 8/31/2018) Updated (9/22/2018)
