Factual Reporting: MIXED
Notes: According to their about page: “The NewBostonPost is an online news source founded in 2015 by Tina McCormick, a European immigrant with a Ph.D. in cultural history, and a group of Boston-based entrepreneurs. NBP provides curated and aggregated content, original reporting, and insightful commentary. Although strictly non-partisan, the NewBostonPost aims to provide a home for conservative, libertarian, classical liberal, and moderate voices in an effort to promote constructive and civil debate on issues of concern to New Englanders and all Americans.”
In review, the NewBostonPost has right-wing bias in story selection that favors the right. News is typically aggregated from other sources and consists of one short paragraph. Most of these do not have a link to the original source. Opinion pieces also favor the right but use proper sourcing to mostly credible media outlets. Overall, we rate NewBostonPost right biased based on story selection and Mixed for factual reporting based on lack of sourcing. (D. Van Zandt 11/26/2017)
