The Boston Herald is a tabloid American daily newspaper whose primary market is Boston, Massachusetts, and its surrounding area. It was founded in 1846 and is one of the oldest daily newspapers in the United States. It has been awarded eight Pulitzer Prizes in its history.

In December 2017, the Boston Herald filed for bankruptcy. On February 14, 2018, Digital First Media successfully bid $11.9 million to purchase the company in a bankruptcy auction; the acquisition was completed on March 19, 2018. Advertising and subscription generate revenue.
Analysis / Bias
The Boston Herald is a tabloid newspaper that reports local news through the use of journalists. The national news is syndicated via the Associated Press. The Boston Herald uses minimal loaded words in its news reporting and properly sources their information. Editorially, they present both sides; however, more right-leaning opinions are expressed. During the 2016 Presidential Election, the Boston Herald did not endorse a candidate; however, they have a long history of supporting Republican candidates. On 10/27/2020, the Boston Herald endorsed Donald Trump for President in the 2020 Presidential election.
