Analysis / Bias
The Minnesota Reformer publishes original news reporting on politics and policy from Minnesota. Coverage focuses on the legislature, the environment, and how national policy affects the people of Minnesota. Articles and headlines promote liberal perspectives through moderate, loaded language DFL Legislature moving quickly on a range of issues three weeks into session.
Editorially, opinion pieces favor the left, such as this DFL trifecta brings renewed effort in Legislature to ban conversion therapy for minors. On the issues, the Minnesota Reformer promotes LGBT equality and has concerns about climate change. Finally, they frequently report negatively on Republican politicians, such as this U.S. House GOP would make it easier for feds to give public lands away to states. The Minnesota Reformer generally reports news factually; however, story selection and op-eds strongly favor a liberal perspective.
