The Jackson Sun is a daily newspaper published in Jackson, Tennessee, and is one of western Tennessee’s major newspapers, delivered to 13 counties.  Its history dates back over 150 years.

Funded by / Ownership

The newspaper is owned by Gannett and is part of the USA Today Network of papers. The paper is funded through a subscription and advertising model.

Analysis / Bias

In review, the Jackson Sun reports local news through the use of journalists with minimal bias in wording and story selection. National and international news is republished from USA Today, which is classified as a left-center source. Editorially, the paper tends to have a slight right leaning bias in story selection. A factual search reveals they have not failed any fact checks.
