History

Health Consciousness is a website/blog that reports on health-related news without an about page to describe their mission or ownership. A whois search reveals the domain was purchased in October 2017.

Funded by / Ownership

Health Consciousness does not list any names associated with the website nor who owns it or is the editor. According to Whois, the site originates from Indiana and the domain is registered to someone simply called “Lawyer.” The website appears to be funded through excessive online advertising.

Analysis / Bias

In review, Health Consciousness publishes a variety of health and nutrition news, most of which is either conspiratorial or pseudoscience. For example, in this article “ADHD is a FAKE Disease Invented by Big Pharma to Drug Children for Profit” they make the claim that ADHD is not a real health issue. While they may argue that the diagnosis is overused, the claim of it being fake is outright false. Like most clickbait pseudoscience websites they promote anti-vaccination propaganda and miracle cancer cures. Health Consciousness also utilizes very poor sources such as Natural News.

Overall, this is a quackery level pseudoscience website with zero credibility due to the anonymity of ownership. (D. Van Zandt 7/9/2018)
