Florida Bulldog is a nonprofit news publication based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida According to its about page, “We keep watchdog journalism alive by paying attention to and publishing important stories that otherwise go uncovered because of shifting priorities and lack of resources in the region’s conventional media outlets.

The Florida Bulldog subscribes to the standards of editorial independence adopted by the Institute for Nonprofit News, which currently has 450 members. The Institute for Nonprofit News (INN) is a consortium founded in 2009 to support nonprofit journalism focused on investigative and public service reporting.

Its reports focus on state politics and policy. Articles and headlines contain moderately loaded emotional language, such as this Miami Beach company’s ads promising patients a ‘dream body’ with minimal risk get little scrutiny. All stories reviewed relied on credible sources such as government documents and outlets like the Associated Press.



Editorially, story selection and opinion pieces, such as Florida Bar lets Matt Gaetz off the hook by agreeing statutory rape has nothing to do with practicing law, favor the left. They also promote social justice and environmental concerns, which are views favored by the left.
