History
The Faith & Freedom Coalition (FFC) has been active in various national election campaigns, employing voter education efforts to mobilize Christian voters. For instance, during the 2018 mid-term elections, the organization contacted many Christian voters through various methods, including door-knocking, distributing voter education mail, and employing digital ads.
The FFC also played a significant role in supporting the confirmation of Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, and it has been engaged in legislative advocacy for tax reform and federal appellate judge confirmations. The Coalition’s efforts have notably expanded over the years, as seen in its multi-faceted campaign during the 2016 Presidential campaign, which contributed to the election of President Donald J. Trump.
The FFC was founded by Ralph Reed, who serves as its chairman. They are based in Duluth, Georgia, USA.

Analysis / Bias
The Faith & Freedom Coalition is a conservative evangelical advocacy organization that promotes Republican and conservative causes. On the website, they outline its platform and mission like this: The Faith and Freedom Coalition emphasizes the importance of life, family, and marriage; advocates for limited government, lower taxes, and fiscal responsibility; supports education reform, aid for the needy, free markets, and opposes terrorism while supporting allies like Israel. Their mission focuses on mobilizing and training people of faith for civic engagement, influencing legislation for sound public policy, and standing against discrimination towards people of faith.
The website publishes news related to its own activities and successes, such as this FAITH & FREEDOM COALITION STATEMENT CONGRATULATING DONALD TRUMP ON PRESUMPTIVE PRIMARY VICTORY.
Editorially, as outlined above, the FFC favors a Christian right perspective through its advocacy and the candidates it supports. When it comes to science, they promote climate skepticism and were labeled as a right-wing extremist group in 2012 by the Southern Poverty Law Center. They generally hold far-right perspectives and may spread misinformation to advance their political agenda.
