MBFC’s Daily Vetted Fact Checks for 12/06/2025 (Weekend Edition)

Fact Check Search

Media Bias Fact Check selects and publishes fact checks from around the world. We only utilize fact-checkers that are either a signatory of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) or have been verified as credible by MBFC. Further, we review each fact check for accuracy before publishing. We fact-check the fact-checkers and let you know their bias. When appropriate, we explain the rating and/or offer our own rating if we disagree with the fact-checker. (D. Van Zandt)

UNPROVEN Claim by FDA official Vinay Prasad: “At least 10 children have died after and because of receiving COVID-19 vaccination,” based on VAERS analysis.

FactCheck.org rating: Unproven (Prasad provided no case details — age, cause of death, vaccine type, or independent verification. Experts say VAERS alone cannot determine causation, no evidence has shown increased mortality from COVID-19 vaccination in children, and CDC/FDA data continue to show very rare serious adverse events and no identified rise in deaths.)

Unpacking the FDA’s ‘Black Friday’ Vaccine Memo

TRUE Claim via Social Media: The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump removed a report on missing and murdered Native Americans, calling it “DEI content.”

Snopes rating: True (The Department of Justice removed the report from its website but didn’t outright call it “DEI content.” Rather, a spokesperson said the department removed the report following a Trump administration executive order on gender ideology, a concept that can fall under the wider diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) umbrella in policy discussions.)

Trump order prompts removal of report on missing and murdered Indigenous people from federal websites

BLATANT
LIE
Claim by Donald Trump (R): Any pardon signed with an autopen is now “fully and completely terminated, and is of no legal effect.”

PolitiFact rating: False (President Donald Trump cannot unilaterally decide that pardons are null and void. The U.S. Constitution gives presidents nearly unlimited power to issue pardons. But if someone’s pardon is revoked, that person can challenge the decision in court — with legal precedent on their side.)

No, Trump can’t unilaterally revoke Biden “autopen” pardons

Donald Trump Rating

FALSE (International: Pakistan): The Ministry of External Affairs, in a letter to Pakistan, has sought the transfer of former Pak PM Imran Khan.

The Quint rating: False

Did India Issue a Letter to Pakistan Seeking Transfer of Imran Khan? No!
