Fact Check Search

Media Bias Fact Check selects and publishes fact checks from around the world. We only utilize fact-checkers that are either a signatory of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) or have been verified as credible by MBFC. Further, we review each fact check for accuracy before publishing. We fact-check the fact-checkers and let you know their bias. When appropriate, we explain the rating and/or offer our own rating if we disagree with the fact-checker. (D. Van Zandt)

BLATANT
LIE
Claim via Social Media: The White House suddenly suspended President Trump’s official schedule on August 27th, 28th, and 29th.

Lead Stories rating: False (The schedules for that Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday were never revised. A viral video making the claim used a fake voice and an AI-detection tool concluded.)

Fact Check: The White House Did NOT Suddenly Suspend President Trump’s Schedule On August 27-29, 2025 — Fake News Report

TRUE Claim via Social Media: On Aug. 25, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller called the Democratic Party a “domestic, extremist organization” on Fox News.

Snopes rating: True (Correct Attribution)

Stephen Miler called Democratic Party a ‘domestic, extremist organization’

BLATANT
LIE
Claim via Social Media: Radar shows evidence of weather modification to the east coast.

Lead Stories rating: False (Bird Migration)

Fact Check: Radar Does NOT Show East Coast Getting Blasted By HAARP Or “Pumping a Storm” — It’s Just Radar Picking Up Migratory Birds Flying South After Dusk

FALSE (International: United Kingdom): Britain has the highest number of Muslim MPs in Europe.

Reuters rating: False (The UK Parliament does not collect data on MPs’ religion, and while media reports after the 2024 election suggested there may be around 25 Muslim MPs—roughly 3.9% of the House of Commons—there is no verified evidence of this figure. By contrast, European countries with Muslim-majority populations, such as Albania and Kosovo, would almost certainly have a higher number of Muslim MPs. The viral image used to support the claim is outdated, and at least three of the individuals shown are no longer MPs. Thus, there is no basis for asserting that Britain has the highest number of Muslim MPs in Europe.)

No evidence Britain has highest number of Muslim MPs in Europe
