Rumble Appeals Antitrust Lawsuit Dismissal Against Google

Rumble has appealed a ruling that dismissed its antitrust claims against Google, alleging the tech giant unfairly promoted YouTube in search results and pre-installed the app on Android devices. The appeal, filed with the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, challenges a decision by U.S. District Judge Haywood Gilliam, Jr., who ruled Rumble’s case fell outside the four-year antitrust statute of limitations. Rumble claims Google’s practices deprived it of traffic and revenue since 2014. Google argued the claims were untimely and lacked proof of anti-competitive behavior. LA Journalists Sue DHS, Kristi Noem Over Use of Force During Protests

The Los Angeles Press Club and several journalists have filed a lawsuit against DHS and Kristi Noem, alleging that excessive force was used to suppress press freedoms during June protests related to ICE raids in LA. The suit claims DHS violated the First, Fourth, and Fifth Amendments through indiscriminate use of rubber bullets and tear gas, causing injuries to several credentialed reporters.
