Analysis / Bias

Worldtimetodays.com covers a variety of news topics, from technology to entertainment. Articles and headlines are often straightforward, such as this New York bus crash: 1 person dead, 46 injured as bus carrying Long Island students to music camp overturns on I-84 in Wawayanda. This story, like many others, does not contain hyperlinked sourcing but rather attributes at the bottom of the page to WABC New York.

Another story relies on hyperlinked sourcing Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov jokes about “suffering” at the United Nations General Assembly; unfortunately, the source used is a state Russian propaganda news agency.

Editorially, they cover a wide range of views, such as this from conservative media personality Glenn Beck, who has a poor track record with fact checkers. They also cover left-leaning views such as this Biden’s American Climate Corps isn’t enough — but it’s a start. In general, they cover both sides politically but sometimes rely on poor sources or do not source information at all.

Failed Fact Checks

  • None by a third-party fact checker.

Overall, we rate Worldtimetodays as least biased and questionable based on a lack of transparency with ownership, poor sourcing techniques, and the use of poor sources who routinely fail fact checks. (D. Van Zandt 09/25/2023)
