Analysis / Bias

The South Coast Register aims to offer balanced reporting but often reflects a left-center bias in its coverage of political and social issues.

The South Coast Register covers news, sports, lifestyle, and entertainment for the greater Gerringong area. They report local news with minimal loaded emotional language, such as this Sussex Inlet man sentenced for sending ‘abhorrent’ and threatening messages to teenNational and international news comes from other ACM newspapers and the Australian Associated Press (AAP).

Editorially, a review of op-eds shows that both sides are represented; however, more favor a progressive left perspective like this: Pacific nations applaud ‘lifeline’ climate ruling. Finally, the news is generally reported factually and with a moderate left-leaning editorial bias.
