Analysis / Bias
MR Online features a variety of content formats, including articles, essays, interviews, and book reviews. MR Online leans heavily left on the political spectrum, promoting socialist and Marxist perspectives on current events, economics, and social issues. For example, the website (re)publishes news and opinion pieces that align with a progressive left perspective, such as this: Israel is turning hospitals into mass graves while the West fixates on ‘antisemitism’. This piece was written by Caitlin Johnstone, which is rated as a moderate conspiracy website by MBFC.
Another story originally published by Erin in the Morning: England’s anti-trans Cass review is politics disguised as science, exhibits left bias as it strongly advocates for transgender rights and criticizes the Cass Review, portraying it as a politically motivated document designed to justify discriminatory policies against transgender individuals. It emphasizes the struggles of transgender people, condemns anti-trans sentiment, and highlights the review’s alleged connections to anti-trans sources and biased methodology, aligning with a left-leaning perspective that prioritizes social justice and LGBTQ+ rights. While the content of this article may be factual, the source, Erin in the Morning, has a mixed factual rating.
Editorially, MR Online aligns with progressive and Marxist socialism through its support of climate change action, social justice, workers’ rights, and a strong focus on income inequality. In general, the information reviewed was reasonably factual and editorially aligned with the far left; however, the frequent use of poor sources limits its credibility.
