Factbox.TV is a hoax and fact checker that claims to be “Your Antidote for Fake News.” According to Whois the domain was purchased on October 2016.

Funded by / Ownership

Factbox.TV claims they are ad free and are supported through donations. In searching the website there isn’t a named owner to be found.

Analysis / Bias

In reviewing this site we found that they do indeed fact check well and use proper sourcing to validate their checks. Typically, a fact checker would be rated least biased, however in this case Factbox.TV demonstrates a left-center bias due to fact checking primarily right wing claims. While the checks themselves are accurate, there is a clear selection bias that leans strongly left. We rate Factbox.TV left-center biased based on selection and highly factual based on sourcing. (D.
