Established in 2007, Environment America is a coalition of state-level organizations in the U.S. focused on environmental advocacy. The organization focuses on areas like waste & recycling, toxins, and clean water & air. It advocates for pro-environmental policies at the state and federal levels. It is a non-profit organization not affiliated with any political party but financially supports Democratic candidates who share its environmental values.

According to their financial information page, The organization has received foundation support from various entities in fiscal year 2022, including the 444S Foundation, Alaska Wilderness League, American Heart Association, Bydale Foundation, Colcom Foundation, and many others.
