These media sources have a slight to moderate liberal bias.  They often publish factual information that utilizes loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes) to favor liberal causes.  These sources are generally trustworthy for information, but may require further investigation. See all Left-Center sources.

Factual Reporting: HIGH

Notes: The Center for Popular Democracy (CPD) is a left-leaning nonprofit advocacy group in the United States. CPD is a federation of groups with a stated goal to “envision and win an innovative pro-worker, pro-immigrant, racial and economic justice agenda.” The organization is allied with teachers’ unions and has published studies criticizing charter schools. In review CPD has a blog that reports on left leaning issues. There is minimal use of loaded language and all information is sourced. We rate this source left-center biased based on the political issues they support, which align with the political left. (D. Van Zandt 8/12/2017)
