It was established in 1989 by Kieran Suckling, Peter Galvin, and Todd Schulke and is headquartered in Tucson, Arizona. The organization’s main focus is on protecting wildlife and preserving biodiversity.

Analysis / Bias

The Center for Biological Diversity (CBD) is known for its left-leaning bias and support of progressive environmental policies and initiatives. While the organization does express criticism of former President Trump’s policies and practices in their report “A Wall in the Wild: The Environmental Impacts of Border Walls,” which analyzes the environmental impact of border walls and cites sources to support their claims, they also criticize President Biden’s environmental policies, as seen in their newsletter Biden’s Climate Bomb.”

The Center for Biological Diversity (CBD) is not hesitant to take legal action against politicians and industries that they believe are harming the environment. Regarding sourcing, they rely on credible government and scientific organizations.
