Canopy Atlanta is a nonprofit news publication based in Atlanta, Georgia. According to its about page, “Canopy Atlanta is a community journalism nonprofit founded in 2020. We collaborate with residents to tell stories about their communities—neighborhood by neighborhood—redefining who journalism is by and for.”

Canopy Atlanta subscribes to the standards of editorial independence adopted by the Institute for Nonprofit News, which currently has 450 members. The Institute for Nonprofit News (INN) is a consortium founded in 2009 to support nonprofit journalism focused on investigative and public service reporting.
