Amazon Data Centers Damaged by Drone Strikes in the Middle East

Amazon confirmed that three of its data centers in the Middle East were affected by drone strikes, with two facilities in the United Arab Emirates directly hit and another in Bahrain sustaining damage from a nearby strike. The attacks caused structural damage, power disruptions, and water damage from fire suppression systems, leaving two of the three data hubs significantly impacted. Some customers experienced high failure rates for data transfers while recovery efforts continue amid broader regional instability tied to escalating conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States. NPR Launches ‘Right To Be Curious’ Campaign Amid Political Pressure

National Public Radio has launched a new multi-platform campaign titled “Right To Be Curious” following a year of political attacks and the rescission of more than $1 billion in federal funding. Developed with ad agency Mischief @ No Fixed Address, the campaign includes video, social media activations, a New York Times print placement, and limited-edition merchandise. X Reports Decline in EU Users Despite Claims of Record Engagement

New disclosure data required under the European Union’s Digital Services Act shows X experienced a decline in EU users during the second half of 2025. The platform reported 64.8 million active EU users, down from more than 76 million earlier in the year, an almost 15% drop. While owner Elon Musk has repeatedly claimed record engagement and a growing global audience, the EU figures represent the only publicly auditable usage data and suggest the platform’s influence in the region may be weakening.
