Meta Removes Facebook Group Tracking ICE Agents at DOJ Request

Meta confirmed it has removed a large Facebook group used to track Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Chicago after a request from the U.S. Department of Justice. Attorney General Pam Bondi stated the group aimed to “dox and target” agents involved in President Trump’s immigration enforcement campaign. Meta said the removal was due to violations of policies against “coordinated harm.” The move follows similar actions by Apple and Google, which removed ICE-tracking apps after pressure from the Trump administration. Spotify Removes Nick Fuentes’ Podcast After Surge to #1 Ranking

White nationalist commentator Nick Fuentes claimed his podcast America First With Nicholas J. Fuentes was removed from Spotify shortly after becoming the platform’s top trending show in the U.S. The platform now displays an error when attempting to access it. The Anti-Defamation League describes Fuentes as a white supremacist with a long history of racist and antisemitic remarks. His removal has reignited debate over tech platforms’ responsibilities in moderating extremist content. Spotify has not issued an official comment. Ex-TechCrunch Editor Launches New Global Tech News Platform “Pathfounders”

Mike Butcher, former TechCrunch editor-at-large, has launched Pathfounders, a new tech journalism outlet hosted on Beehiiv. The site will focus on startups and venture capital globally, with particular attention to Europe. The editorial team includes senior reporter Amelia Isaacs and columnists Chris Stokel-Walker and Kit Eaton. Pathfounders aims to fill a void left by recent media cutbacks, including TechCrunch’s exit from Europe and layoffs at Business Insider, CNET, and Digital Frontier.
