Judge Blocks Trump Administration Attempt to Cut Radio Free Europe Funding

A federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to restore congressional funding to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) for the rest of fiscal year 2025. The decision follows a lawsuit filed by RFE/RL after the U.S. Agency for Global Media, led by Trump adviser Kari Lake, attempted to withhold $77 million in approved funding. Judge Royce Lamberth found the administration failed to provide a legal basis or justification for the rescission and ordered the agency to resume funding under prior grant terms. Trump’s Copyright Suit Against Bob Woodward Dismissed

U.S. District Judge Paul Gardephe has dismissed a lawsuit brought by former President Donald Trump against journalist Bob Woodward over the release of audio interviews used for the 2020 book Rage. Trump claimed unauthorized use of the recordings, but the court ruled interview responses are not protected under copyright law. Trump Sues Wall Street Journal and Rupert Murdoch Over Epstein Report

President Trump has filed a $10 billion lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal and Rupert Murdoch after the newspaper published details about a purported 2003 letter linking him to Jeffrey Epstein. The letter, allegedly compiled for Epstein’s birthday album, included explicit imagery and Trump’s name. Trump denies authorship, calling the article defamatory. The lawsuit claims the Journal failed to authenticate the document or provide sourcing.
