Claim by Slay News: The first-ever artificial intelligence-led peer-reviewed climate science paper has confirmed that climate change is a hoax.

Science Feedback rating: Incorrect (Grok is one of the most misinforming AI chatbots. Peer review helps ensure scientific quality, but not all peer-reviewed papers meet credible standards—especially those crediting AI, which can’t take responsibility and may spread misinformation. Decades of overwhelming evidence confirm human-driven climate change, and one flawed paper doesn’t override the scientific consensus.)

What is peer-review? Why one Grok-written paper doesn’t disprove climate change

FALSE Claim by Children’s Health Defense: Dr. Pierre Kory proved Texas 100% false in saying 2nd death caused by measles.

Lead Stories rating: False (Kory, who in 2024 was stripped of his internal medicine credential, never examined the patient and said he based his claim on a partial copy of her medical file, none of which did he show as corroboration of his claim. The Texas Department of State Health Services press release declared the cause of death as measles pulmonary failure, citing licensed medical doctors.)

Fact Check: Dr. Pierre Kory Did NOT Prove Texas Measles Death Announcement Was ‘100% False’ — Assertions Not Backed With Evidence

TRUE Claim via Social Media: On April 4, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump did not attend the dignified transfer of the remains of four U.S. soldiers killed in Lithuania and was at his golf club in Florida when it took place.

Snopes.com rating: True (The White House confirmed Trump was in Florida golfing the day of the dignified transfer. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth attended the event on behalf of the Trump administration. Presidents sometimes attend dignified transfers, sometimes not. They are not considered obligatory.)

FALSE
Claim by Brooke Rollins: “We had an agriculture export deficit that increased from zero when President Trump left to $49 billion” under former President Joe Biden.

Politifact rating: Mostly False (In fiscal year 2020, President Donald Trump’s last full fiscal year in office during his first term, the U.S. Department of Agriculture reported a trade deficit of $3.7 billion. The most current data for agriculture exports, from fiscal year 2024 that ended in September, shows a $31.8 billion trade deficit. The $49 billion figure that Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins cited is a projection for fiscal year 2025, which mainly spans Trump’s current administration. During Trump’s first term, the U.S. recorded its first agricultural trade deficit in nearly 60 years, USDA reported. )

Ag Secretary Brooke Rollins misleads on trade deficit by cherry picking data, relying on projection

Claim via Social Media: A judge sentenced “Pawn Stars” television personality Rick Harrison to life in prison.

Snopes rating: False (There was no credible evidence that Harrison had been incarcerated.)

Don’t fall for videos falsely claiming Rick Harrison from ‘Pawn Stars’ was sentenced to life in prison

FALSE (International: Australia): 710,000 new voters on the electoral roll include migrants who arrived under Labor.

Australian Associated Press rating: False (Migrants who arrived under Labor are not eligible to vote in the 2025 election.)

The 710,000 new voters for the 2025 election aren’t migrants ‘imported’ by Labor | AAP
