History

Founded in 2013, Nautilus is an online and print science magazine. In 2014, the magazine won a Webby Award for best science website and was nominated for two others; and had two stories selected to be included in 2014 edition of The Best American Science and Nature Writing. The magazine and website cover a variety of general science topics such as genetics, climate, physics, chemistry, and more.

In review, Nautilus covers general science stories of all varieties. Articles and headlines use minimally loaded words such as this The Things We Can’t Control Are Beautiful. Although they do not often report on politics they do when it relates to science often offering a negative perspective of President Donald Trump Two weeks after Donald Trump’s rally in Tulsa, the area is spiking with coronavirus. This story is properly sourced to the Associated Press and CBS News. In general, most stories are related to science such as this Jellyfish Genome Hints That Complexity Isn’t Genetically Complex. This is a pro-science source that has left-leaning bias through editorial positions.
