Trump Says He’s ‘Strongly’ Considering Impeachment Testimony

Donald Trump said Monday that he’s “strongly considering” testifying in his own impeachment inquiry, complimenting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for the idea in a tweet after again insulting her and congressional Democrats for pursuing his removal from office.

Trump indicated that he thinks his testimony — possibly in writing — would be a way to resolve the inquiry and get Congress focused on issues he’d like to advance before his 2020 re-election campaign, including a new North American trade deal and drug prices.

President Trump Tweeted:

….that I testify about the phony Impeachment Witch Hunt. She also said I could do it in writing. Even though I did nothing wrong, and don’t like giving credibility to this No Due Process Hoax, I like the idea & will, in order to get Congress focused again, strongly consider it!

  1. He should actually go there and testify ….so we can watch him lie in real time

  2. Tim, I’m not being sarcastic here, I wonder if he can hold it together that long. He has enough trouble being cogent during those 3-minute Q&As when a reporter catches him walking to his limo, for example.

  3. This is just another lie by Trump, he has no intentions at all of giving testimony. He had the opportunity during the Mueller investigation and refused. He’s also ordered witnesses to ignore subpeona’s, blocking their testimony. It’s all part of the insanity that governs the mind of this madman. He knows that all he has to do is pollute the waters and distract as much as possible. This creep belongs in prison, for life.
