Dick’s Sporting Goods announced Wednesday that it would stop selling assault-style rifles and high-capacity magazines, and end the sale of firearms to people under 21 in the wake of the Parkland mass shooting.
CEO Edward Stack said that while the chain respected the Second Amendment, it had a responsibility to help “solve the problem” of gun violence, which he described in a statement as an “epidemic.”
