History

Founded in 1984, The Yankee Institute for Public Policy is a free market; limited government American think tank based in Hartford, Connecticut, that researches Connecticut public policy questions. According to their about page, “Yankee Institute develops and advances free-market, limited-government solutions in Connecticut. As one of America’s oldest state-based think tanks, Yankee is a leading advocate for smart, limited government, fairness for taxpayers, and an open road to opportunity.” The current President is Carol Platt Liebau.
