A Whois search reveals that the Washington Daily Wire was founded in April 2018 and originates from Tennessee. According to their about page: “Washington Daily Wire was launched to fill a rather large void online, particularly in the political news space. The void we are talking about is that virtually every news publication in America is partisan in some way. We strive to be different. We don’t care what side of the aisle you are on. We publish news content that is relevant to the current news cycle. You may not always like the topics we cover, particularly if it’s critical of your political party or candidate, but we will always keep you informed.” The only name associated with the website is JLyttle, who appears to be the sole publisher of all content.

Analysis / Bias
In review, The Washington Daily Wire is a blog that republishes and/or re-write existing news articles almost exclusively with a left-wing bias. Story selection is almost always opposed to conservatives and frequently uses loaded language. Some examples: Trump has one of his worst days yet…and blames Democrats in a pouty public statement, Trump Has His Staff Perform Ego-Boosting Task Twice Per Day and Attorney Lists 20 Things That Trump Does Daily That Guilty People Do. When it comes to sourcing the Washington Daily Wire typically relies on credible sources such as the New York Times, Vice, and The Washington Post, however, they also use poor sources such as the Palmer Report, which has a poor track record with fact-checkers.
In general, the Washington Daily Wire is an anti-Trump website that does not always use proper sources to substantiate their claims.
Overall, we rate the Washington Daily Wire Left Biased based on story selection that always favors the left and Mixed for factual reporting due to the use of poor sources and spinning of information. (D. Van Zandt 11/14/2018)
