LEFT BIAS

These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward liberal causes through story selection and/or political affiliation.  They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage liberal causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy. See all Left Bias sources.

Factual Reporting: MIXED

The Stern Facts is a blog run by Grant Stern who is a professional mortgage broker, radio broadcaster, and columnist. He is the former Executive Director of PINAC News, a national civil rights and government accountability news website. He also writes about politics at Occupy Democrats and Huff Post. The Stern Facts blog focuses on political issues with a far-left bias in reporting. All articles are pro-left and/or anti-right. There is the moderate use of loaded language and all articles are sourced to mostly credible media. There are occasions when The Stern Facts uses sources that have a mixed factual rating such as Alternet or a Questionable rating such as Occupy Democrats, which has a very poor track record with fact checkers.

Overall, we rate The Stern Facts left-biased and mixed for factual reporting based on the use of questionable sources. (D. Van Zandt 8/9/2017) Updated (6/26/2018)
