Analysis / Bias

The Majority Report demonstrates a Left Bias, with consistent framing of issues from a progressive, anti-conservative perspective. The show regularly critiques Republican policies, corporate power, and U.S. military actions while highlighting union organizing, economic inequality, and racial justice.

In the May 12, 2025 episode, Sam Seder and guest economist Mark Blyth criticize Donald Trump’s tariff strategy and Republican efforts to cut Medicare and Social Security. On May 13, 2025, investigative journalist Jeremy Scahill joins to analyze the Trump administration’s diplomacy in the Middle East, offering a critical view of U.S. alliances and their consequences for Gaza. Both episodes reflect a strong ideological framing and do not present conservative viewpoints.

Other episodes include discussions with Ezra Klein on housing and regulation (May 14, 2025) and with Greg Grandin on U.S. imperialism in Latin America (May 15, 2025). These episodes maintain a consistent ideological approach, reinforcing a progressive worldview without counterbalancing perspectives.

The show is primarily opinion and analysis-driven rather than original investigative reporting. However, it features credible guests from academia and journalism, including Matthew Blackwell, Associate Professor of Government at Harvard, and veteran reporters like Jeremy Scahill.
