The Dangerous Ones is rated Left with Mixed factual reporting by Media Bias Fact Check.
LEFT BIAS
These media sources are moderate to strongly biased toward liberal/progressive causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using an appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports, and omit information that may damage liberal/progressive causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy. See all Left Bias sources.
- Overall, we rate The Dangerous Ones Left biased based on explicit progressive/Democratic activism, overwhelmingly negative coverage of Donald Trump and MAGA politics, and strongly loaded political commentary. We rate it Mixed Factual due to generally recognizable source material and a clean fact-check record, offset by highly selective framing, political advocacy, and the frequent blending of factual reporting with comedy, ridicule, and opinion.

Funded by / Ownership
The Dangerous Ones was created by Jim and Tiffany Drastic of Eleven Films and Nick Knudsen of DemCast USA. Podcast descriptions also identify TDO Media as the production company.
According to the publication, the founders initially financed the studio and production themselves without billionaire or institutional backing. Revenue comes from paid Substack subscriptions, YouTube memberships, podcast support, and advertising or sponsorship arrangements.
The podcast remains freely available, while paying supporters receive additional content and other benefits.
Analysis / Bias
The Dangerous Ones presents politics from a strongly liberal and Democratic-aligned perspective. Its creators openly describe the project as pro-democracy activism and promote organizing, protesting, digital activism, and efforts to counter Donald Trump and MAGA politics. DemCast co-founder Nick Knudsen described the project’s creation as an effort to strengthen “the left” in digital and podcast media following the 2024 election.
In MAGA Base Gets ROASTED Online in VIRAL Hot Takes, the hosts compile videos ridiculing Trump supporters and describe the MAGA movement as stupid, gullible, cult-like, and detached from reality. The commentary also attacks Trump, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and other administration figures using highly loaded and profane language.
Likewise, MAGA Has Completely Gone Off the Rails uses selected viral clips to portray Trump supporters as unintelligent, misogynistic, dishonest, or cult-like. This is explicitly political comedy and advocacy rather than balanced news reporting.
In What the HELL Is Going On With Trump and Natalie Harp?, the publication again combines political reporting with humor and openly describes its work as “independent pro-democracy political comedy.”
The show’s outside descriptions reinforce this orientation. An Apple Podcasts listing calls one episode a discussion of Trump’s “creeping authoritarianism” and urges Democrats to reclaim their political voice, while another identifies the program using terms including “progressive podcast,” “anti-Trump podcast,” “liberal resistance,” and “social justice podcast.”
However, its ideological focus is primarily anti-Trump, socially progressive, and Democratic rather than explicitly socialist or revolutionary. Therefore, we rate The Dangerous Ones Left rather than Extreme Left.
Factual reporting generally relies on authentic video clips, public statements, recognizable media reports, and interviews. However, material is selected specifically to advance an anti-MAGA narrative, and factual assertions are frequently surrounded by ridicule, speculation, and sweeping conclusions. This reduces reliability as a standalone news source even when the underlying clips are genuine.
Failed Fact Checks
- None to date. The principal factual concern is therefore not a documented record of fabricated reporting, but the highly selective use of evidence and the blending of news, comedy, activism, and political advocacy.

We rate it Mixed Factual due to generally recognizable source material and a clean fact-check record, offset by highly selective framing, political advocacy, and the frequent blending of factual reporting with comedy, ridicule, and opinion.
