Fake News is the deliberate attempt to publish hoaxes and/or disinformation for the purpose of profit or influence (Learn More). Sources listed in the Questionable Category may be very untrustworthy and should be fact checked on a per article basis. Please note sources on this list are not considered fake news unless specifically written in the notes section for that source. See all Questionable sources.

Bias: Extreme Right, Nationalism, Propaganda

History

According to their about page “Constitution.com is a news-driven opinion site that delivers commentary, informed by a right-leaning worldview, to like-minded Americans.” The website does not list a founder, but appears to be edited by Andrew West.

Funded by / Ownership

The website states “Constitution.com is a property of Romulus Marketing, LLC.”, which operates several conservative websites. The website is funded through online advertising and a store that sells conservative merchandise.

Analysis / Bias

In review, Constitution.com publishes news and opinion stories that use strong loaded emotional language that always favors the right, such as this: Deranged Democrats Want POTUS To Punt Putin Pow-Wow for Now. In another article they use the highly questionable Gateway Pundit as a source. In general, The Constitution displays over the top right wing bias and is not very factual as evidenced by their promotion of the PizzaGate story. In this article they source Freedom Outpost, which is listed as a Questionable Source and InfoWars, which is a Tin Foil Hat conspiracy source, run by Alex Jones.

Overall, we rate Constitution.com Questionable based on extreme right wing bias and the use of sources that have a poor track record with fact checkers. (9/25/2016) Updated (D. Van Zandt 7/16/2018)
