Analysis / Bias

In review, The Coloradoan reports local news for the Fort Collins, Colorado region with minimal use of loaded emotional language such as this Colorado to begin vaccinating 65-plus teachers. National and international news comes from other Gannett publications and the Associated Press.

Editorially, op-eds tend to be reasonably balanced, presenting opinions from both sides. However, in reviewing several, more favor the left such as this Coloradoan can do better to report on climate crisis’ link to wildfires. The editorial board typically does not endorse presidential candidates, but they endorse local candidates. In 2018, they endorsed both Democrats and Republicans; however, more democrats were endorsed overall. In general, they report the news factually and with a left-leaning editorial bias.
