Analysis / Bias

The Miller Center is rated minimally biased due to its commitment to nonpartisan scholarship and balanced analysis. Its research and publications are grounded in historical context and academic rigor, avoiding partisan language or advocacy.

For example, the article “We’ve Had a ‘Constitutional Dictatorship’ Before. Trump Is Different” examines the use of executive power in U.S. history, providing a nuanced comparison without resorting to partisan rhetoric.

The Center’s Health Care Policy Project offers comprehensive analyses of domestic and global health care challenges, drawing on historical data and expert insights to inform current policy debates.

While the Center has faced criticism from various quarters, including a 2021 controversy over the appointment of a former Trump administration official, it has maintained its nonpartisan stance.
