RIGHT BIAS

These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward conservative causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage conservative causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy. See all Right Bias sources.

Factual Reporting: MIXED

Life Decisions International is an anti-Planned Parenthood watchdog organization. Mike Schwartz (1950-2013) was the founding chairman of this organization who was also a member of the Sons of Thunder and a leader of the pro-life movement.

In review, Life Decisions International’s primary mission is to expose people and organizations who support Planned Parenthood with the hope of defunding them out of business. For example, under the “Projects” category, “Celebrity Watch” identifies public figures who support Planned Parenthood. “Charity Watch” is a subsection that publishes a list of charitable entities that support “abortion, sexual promiscuity, physician-assisted suicide, euthanasia, and/or non-consensual “research” on human beings.” Another section is the Corporate funding project (Boycott) where they try to get corporations to stop giving financial donations to Planned Parenthood by releasing a listing of companies support them. Life Decisions International also lists a disclaimer that reads: “LDI cannot provide evidence regarding any particular celebrity named herein.” Therefore, this is a source that is not evidence-based.

Overall, we rate Life Decisions International Right Biased based on its conservative positions on abortion and sexual health. We rate them Mixed for factual reporting based on admitting they do not require evidence to place people on their lists. (M. Huitsing 10/18/2017) Updated (10/15/2021)
