Analysis / Bias

The Irish Daily Mirror is fully transparent by describing itself as a left-of-center publication.

The Irish Daily Mirror covers various topics, including politics, most often with emotionally loaded language such as “Leo Varadkar says he hasn’t experimented with recreational drugs since being elected to Dail.” Leo Varadkar is the Center-Right Prime Minister of Ireland. Regarding sourcing, they often use extensive quotes and other credible sources like The Irish Times, The Irish Examiner, and Irish Independent.

On the issues such as immigration and refugees, Irish Daily Mirror reports with a positive tone, “Syrian refugees living in Ireland tell of the loneliness they endure in centres across the country.”  Irishmirror.ie also publishes celebrity gossip such as “Adele sends message to Megan Thee Stallion after Tory Lanez shooting verdict.”

Editorially they generally hold a left-leaning editorial bias in support of the Labour party and are factual in reporting.
